Guidelines for Authors
Submission of Papers
Authors are invited to submit original papers: they must not substantially duplicate work that any of the authors have published elsewhere or have submitted in parallel to any other conferences that have proceedings. The submission must be anonymous, with no author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or obvious references.
Original contributions up to 12 pages in length, excluding bibliography and appendix, are invited (or 20 pages in total). Papers should conform to the formatting instructions for the series Conferences in Research and Practice in Information Technology (available at CRPIT authors' page.). Submitted paper must be written with at least 11pt with reasonable margins.
Sample LaTeX and MS-Word format templates are available from the Resources section of the authors' page. Papers must include the authors' names, addresses, email addresses, a 200-word abstract, and three to six keywords identifying the subject area.
Papers will be judged on originality, significance, correctness and clarity. The contribution of the paper should be clearly explained in both general and technical terms. Submission of a paper includes a commitment that, should the paper be accepted, at least one author will attend the workshop to present the work.
Papers must be submitted electronically. Submissions must conform to this procedure and be received by Tuesday, 30th of September, 2008 to be considered. Late submissions and non-electronic submissions will not be considered.
Student Paper Prize
Provided that at least five student papers are accepted for AISC2009, the program committee will nominate the best one for a best student paper prize ($500). Papers are counted as student papers if the major contribution is due to a student author, who must be the first author of the paper.
Authors have to indicate at the time of
submission that their paper is to be classified as a student paper. The
supervisor or the Head of Department must sign a statement to verify that the
principal author is a student at the time of submission.
